We invite you to discover the UNESCO World Heritage site “Lavaux” – the unique Vineyards, but also the old towns, the museums and the stunning nature surrounding us. Take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty seen from the historical steamboats on Lake Geneva or from the top of a nearby mountain.
Riviera Card
Every guest is entitled to receive the Riviera Card on arrival. This card allows you to enjoy the local public transport for free and gives you discounts for museums, boats and mountain trains. Just pick it up at the front desk and start discovering Vevey and the nearby attractions.
Culture
There is a vibrant social scene downtown! Several farmers’ markets and fairs bring the towns to live during the day while bars and restaurants continue to entertain at night. We invite our guests to experience the local culinary offers and discover Switzerland through the eyes of a local. Concerts, shows and art exhibitions create a constant stream of inspiration and entertainment both by the lake and inside some exceptional buildings.
Museums
The Riviera region is rich in museums.
The Chaplins’ World Museum is located very close to the Hotel and invites you to the life and heritage of Charlie Chaplin. Experience both his private life at his family estate as well as the cinematic legacy in the studio. A unique experience that is only available here in Vevey.
The Medieval Castle Chateau Chillon, an old Swiss Army Fortress in the mountain, the history of Nestlé including a deep dive into the world of food as well as contemporary photography – there is a museum for everyone!
Family Activities
Within a short distance from Vevey there is a huge indoor playground FunPlanet, Aqua Park and a miniature train park. Lots of fun for children and adults of any age to create memories together. No matter the weather, families can experience endless activities in this adventure area.
Boats & Trains
The historic steamboats on Lake Geneva invite the guests to see the area from the lake and experience the Swiss Riviera from the water. The legendary Golden Pass Train provides the opposite experience and takes the guests up, through the mountains and forests.
Spa & relaxation
The area offers natural hot water springs and various spa facilities. Some can be reached easily by train or car; others may require a longer journey. Nevertheless, there is a treatment waiting for you nearby. In addition, Lake Geneva has a great water quality and is a widely loved source for refreshing swims and dips.
Wine-Tourism
The UNESCO World Heritage site Lavaux invites you to stroll through the vineyards, visit the wine museum and taste the local wine production. The land of the 3 suns is a unique micro-climate worth exploring. Wine has literally shaped this region into how it looks today – a history worth exploring!
Nature, Walks & Hikes
Welcome to the Swiss Riviera on Lake Geneva. Surrounded by the Swiss and French Alps with its lush forests and flower fields. There are exciting hikes and walks nearby offering stunning views and calming walks. Any time of the year, trains and gondolas offer transport to the mountain peaks, while lakeside walks, and secret forest paths are simply accessible on foot. We highly recommend exploring our region by bike or by walking to experience it all. Glacier 3000 is the closest Glacier to visit and one of the highlights.
In Winter, the ski slopes are not far away. Within short drives our guests can comfortably reach multiple smaller and larger ski resorts and enjoy a day in the mountains.
